    Spanish Description

    The Wheel on the School

    About the Book

In a small Dutch fishing village, young Lina and her classmates learn that storks can't nest on their rooftops because they're too steeply pitched. Determined to bring the beloved birds back to town, the children set out on an ambitious quest: finding a wagon wheel to place on the school roof. Their search leads them through storms, mudflats, and unexpected friendships with the village's grown-ups. This beloved Newbery Medal-winning classic celebrates courage, cooperation, and the wonder of nature through the eyes of determined children.
