They All Saw It

First published in 1944 in the United States, this is the first of four books created together by photographer Ylla and writer Margaret Wise Brown. Through striking black-and-white photographs, young readers discover how animals big and small, fierce and gentle, wild and tame, react to something they witness. Some watch with wonder, while others leap into their mothers' arms. Margaret Wise Brown's playful text builds suspense until the very last page, coaxing a smile and inviting quiet reflection from every reader.
