English Translation

A Mad, Wicked Folly

Set in 1909 London amid glittering wealth and rigid social rules, seventeen-year-old Victoria Darling dreams of becoming an artist, a nearly impossible goal for a young woman of her class. After posing nude for a life-drawing class, she's expelled from her French finishing school, and her horrified parents push her toward marriage with a wealthy suitor. Instead, Victoria enrolls at the Royal College of Art, joins the suffragist movement, and finds herself drawn to a humble young man who may become the love of her life. A vivid coming-of-age story about art, ambition, and independence.
