Dad, Why Did You Vote for Hitler?

It is 1933 and Germans are preparing to vote. Rudi's father is convinced that Hitler is the best candidate, because he has promised to take Germany to the top, which is where he deserves to be. Rudi's mother, who is pregnant, does not think the same. When the family goes to the polls, their parents vote for two different parties. That night, while listening to the results on the radio, Rudi's mother bursts into tears. Through the story of a family and the eyes of a child, the reader will witness the rise of the Nazi party to power and its terrible consequences, not only for the Jews, but also for German minorities, such as the little sister of Rudi, who is born with Down syndrome.
