Spanish Description

Bud, Not Buddy

About the Book

After a disastrous night at the Amos house, ten-year-old Bud refuses to go back to the orphanage. Armed with a battered suitcase, a few flyers, and a head full of rules for surviving on his own, he sets out across Depression-era Michigan to find the band leader he is certain must be the father he has never met. Christopher Paul Curtis blends humor, heartbreak, and hope in this award-winning classic of African American history that readers will find utterly irresistible.
