    Spanish Description

    Mango, Abuela, and Me

    About the Book

Mia's abuela leaves her sunny home of palm trees and parrots to move in with Mia and her parents in the city. On the first night, Mia tries to share her favorite bedtime book, only to discover that Abuela cannot read the English words. As they cook together, Mia teaches Abuela English while learning Spanish herself, but Abuela still lacks the words to tell her family stories. Then Mia spots a parrot in a pet shop window and finds the perfect way to help them talk. A tender award-winning story about love, patience, and understanding.
