English Translation

The Wise Hippos

Huberto and Marcelo, two thoughtful hippos, love to sit in the shade of a banana tree, toss little balls of mud into the water, and chat with their friends—Carmela the elephant and Tanami the giraffe. Together they wonder about life's biggest little questions: How do you make a bouquet of rhymes? How wide is summer? Who really matters in this world? Why read a lighter book? How long does a rainstorm last? How do you count penguins? This whimsical short story collection blends humor, friendship, and gentle philosophy for young readers who love to imagine and question the world around them.
