English Translation

The Two Beans

Siempreviva lives inside a giant bean pod, in a self-sufficient world where everything—from the water she drinks to the dolls she makes—is completely white. Believing she is alone in the world, she one day decides to knock down a wall. What she discovers leaves her breathless: on the other side is another bean pod, entirely black, home to a boy named Nomeolvides. Joining forces, the two children discover that the world holds far more possibilities, nuances, and ways of seeing reality than they ever imagined.
