The Empty Pot

In ancient China, young Ping loves growing flowers more than anything, and everyone knows he has the greenest thumb in the kingdom. When the emperor announces a contest, promising to choose his successor based on who grows the most beautiful flower, Ping plants his seed with great hope and care. But as months pass, his pot remains stubbornly empty. Facing the emperor's judgment with only an empty pot in hand, Ping must decide between honesty and deception. This gentle, beautifully illustrated tale celebrates courage and truthfulness over cleverness and shows how honesty is ultimately rewarded.
