    The Extraordinary Story of Manuela the Hen

    Manuela is a city hen who, like all city hens, lives in an apartment, wakes up early, and spends her days laying eggs in a factory. That's how the bedtime story a father invents for his son begins. But the boy isn't satisfied with the tale and keeps interrupting, insisting it isn't realistic—hens can't fly, and they don't have teeth! Soon the boy turns the story upside down, until Manuela herself, tired of being pushed around, decides to take charge of her own tale. A funny, imaginative picture book about storytelling, animals, and a hen who refuses to be ordinary.
