English Translation

The House of the Gloomy Fly

A charming retelling of a classic Russian folktale, brought to life with bold, humorous illustrations. Fosca the fly is tired of wandering the forest, so she builds herself a cozy little house where she can rest and welcome friends. To celebrate, she bakes a blackberry pie and sets the table with seven stools and seven plates. Soon a beetle, a bat, a toad, an owl, a fox, a wolf, and a bear arrive one by one—but then someone else knocks at the door. A delightful, colorful story perfect for the youngest readers.
