    The Story of Ferdinand

A beloved classic since 1936, this is the gentle tale of Ferdinand, a young bull who would rather sit quietly under his favorite cork tree smelling flowers than run, jump, and butt heads with the other bulls. When he is mistaken for a fierce fighting bull and taken to the bullring in Madrid, Ferdinand stays true to himself with surprising and heartwarming results. This charming edition features a fresh translation and delightful new illustrations that bring Ferdinand's peaceful spirit to a new generation of young readers.
