    About the Book

Everyery bird in the savannah looks tasty to a hungry opossum (Rabipelado)! But catching them isn't easy—he must find where each bird sleeps in order to surprise it at night. The Toucan and the Trumpeter unknowingly outwit the sly opossum, but the clever Clock Bird discovers his scheme and sets a trap of her own. Retold from Pemón oral tradition, this Venezuelan folktale from Ediciones Ekaré brings a lively, humorous animal adventure rooted in Latin American indigenous storytelling to young readers.
