English Translation

The Robber Hotzenplotz

Grandmother adores the new coffee grinder that Kasperle and Pepín have given her, but the robber Hotzenplotz wants one exactly like it and does what robbers do best: he steals it. Sergeant Matamicrobios takes charge of the case, though he warns that the bandit has escaped capture for years. The hunt grows even more complicated when the great and wicked magician Petrosilio Atenazador appears, a sorcerer who, for all his power, has never found a spell to peel potatoes and has long been searching for cheap labor. A classic, funny adventure by Otfried Preussler.
