Making the Rounds with Oscar

In 2007, the story of one remarkable cat traveled around the world. Oscar lives in a nursing home in Rhode Island, and he possesses an astonishing gift: he senses when a patient is about to die, and he stays at their side, offering quiet, grateful comfort. Dr. David Dosa, no great lover of cats and skeptical of extraordinary gifts, sets out to tell Oscar's story and also his own: the demanding, deeply rewarding work of easing patients' final years. Moving, sad, and beautiful, these true stories are told with humanity and great sensitivity.
