English Translation

The Tadpole's Promise

By the willow where the branches dip into the water, a tadpole meets a caterpillar and they fall in love at first sight. "I like everything about you," says the caterpillar. "Promise you'll never change." But as we all know, tadpoles transform, and so do caterpillars. This charming picture book explores the cycle of life, love, and the passage of time, surprising readers with an unexpected ending that breaks away from traditional fairy-tale happy endings. Its unique vertical format lets readers see both the caterpillar's leafy world and the tadpole's watery world on each spread.
