Hot Dog

It's summertime in the city, and one little dog has simply had enough — the scorching sidewalks, the blaring construction noise, the constant crowds pressing in. When he finally refuses to go another step, his owner understands exactly what he needs. She scoops him up, hails a taxi, boards a train, then a boat, until at last they reach the beach, where a dog can finally run free. This lyrical, beautifully illustrated picture book captures a joyful, well-earned escape that young readers will want to experience again and again.
